About Shades of Yesterday......
My interest in Victorian lampshades began fifteen years, ago.
My dad picked up the hobby of restoring antique lighting. Eventually, he opened a shop and I went to work for him. I was always intrigued with the shades he was having made for his lamps.
Years later, I had a baby and was a stay at home mom. I thought making lampshades would be a good way to make extra money and still be home with my son.
Now.....
My son is in school full time, so I'm able to dedicate more time to my passion, making lampshades. The occasional lampshade I was supplementing my dad with, has now became a full time job.
